Sunday lunchtime time to head home
All was going ok until my Notch started to smoke more than normal so pulled into the services, oil everywhere.....
rubber bung thing had popped out
After letting the engin cool down and cleaned the oil off we set off again, only for the motor to give up completely

Ooops sorry forgot to come back to this thread, glad you liked the pictures, there will be quite a few of us heading over to Wolfburg for the Type 3 meeting, cant wait
My Notchback was left in Germany for a couple of weeks until it could be transported home, I was luck that my friend Mark was with me in his car so I got a lift home with him
I had a spare engine at my dads place, which he had rebuilt for me, so that engine went in once the Notch was home, but disaster struck a few weeks later on the way to a show in the U.K, that engine also died
it now has yet another rebuilt engine in the Car, hopefully this one will last longer
